Deportation & Removal Proceedings

Deportation and removal proceedings are administrative proceedings to determine an alien's removability from the United States and his or her eligibility for relief under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA).    Lawful permanent residents of the United States may also find themselves in deportation proceedings if they are convicted of certain crimes, or if the manner in which they obtained their "green card" is challenged.

These proceedings can cause a lot of anxiety and stress.  If you or a family member finds themselves in deportation and removal proceedings, it is important to consult with an attorney early in order to properly assess the situation and take the necessary steps to protect the individual as best as possible.
